Instead, you appear as 'Single', but with the option to pair a partner's account. This means you can use the app as an individual (your messages are not automatically shared, for instance) and as a couple (you can create Group chats). 

💡If you wish to clarify your relationship status, however, you can do that in your 'About' section.
