Pings, by default, allow someone to add a note to express their interest in a more personal way. While most people use these notes to send cute conversation starters, we can’t guarantee the content of those messages, so we give you the ability to disable Ping notes if you don’t want to receive these. This article shows you how.
Important
- We have tools in place to detect and block potentially inappropriate messages. But our automated systems aren't perfect, so we can’t guarantee no inappropriate message will ever make it through.
- If you opt out of Ping notes, you won’t be able to send Pings notes either.
- You can always report a user who sends you an inappropriate note.
- When you opt out of Ping notes, you can still send and receive Pings without a note.
Opt Out of Ping Notes
Note: When you opt out of receiving Ping notes, you won’t be able to send Ping notes either.
- Tap Settings
- Tap Edit profile
- Scroll to ‘Privacy settings’ and enable Opt out of Ping + Note.
- Tap Save
That’s it. Future Pings will be prevented from including notes. Any Ping + Note received before opting out will remain attached to the existing Pings.
Report and Block a Profile That Sent an Inappropriate Note
If you haven’t opted out of Ping notes and receive an inappropriate note, report it to us using these steps and we’ll take action.
- Go to Who Likes Me > Pings tab
- Tap the profile that sent the inappropriate note.
- In the note, tap Send a report.
- Tap Report
Note: If you want to block the person without reporting them, you can choose Block in this step instead. There are no further steps if you block them.
- Choose a reason for reporting the profile.
- Add an explanation if you’d like.
- Tap Block and report.
Our team will handle it from there and take the appropriate actions. To learn more, read Feeld’s Safety Policies and Community Guidelines.
