In some specific locations, members are required to verify their age to use Feeld. This is required by law in some areas and is one of the many ways we protects our community. This article outlines everything you need to know if you’re in (or travelling to) a location where age verification is required.

You must be 18+ to use Feeld. Even if you’re not in a location where age verification is required, this minimum age still applies.

If you’re prompted to verify your age, you must do so to use Feeld in that location.

We use verification to confirm your age, but not your personal identity.

Feeld uses a trusted verification partner to verify your age. Records used to verify your age are immediately deleted by our partner when the verification process is finished.

If you’re travelling in a location where age verification is required, you must verify to use the app there. If you don't, your account will be locked until you leave.
Locations requiring age verification
Age verification is required in these locations:
- The United Kingdom (UK)
- Australia
You’ll be required to verify your age if:
- You’re physically located in one of these locations (even if you’re just visiting).
- Your Feeld account uses a phone number based in one of these locations.
Note: Feeld will roll out age verification in other locations in the future.
How and when to verify your age
If you’re in a location where age verification is required, or using a phone number based there, you must verify to use Feeld. But don’t worry, we’ll know when this happens and prompt you in the app to complete verification.
Travelling in an age verification area? You’ll need to verify your age to use Feeld in that location. If you don’t, your account will remain locked until you leave.
Verification is simple and generally takes just a moment. The app will guide you step-by-step.
You can verify in one of two ways:
Mobile phone number verification
With this option, our verification partner will request some information from your mobile provider to confirm your age. If you don’t have a phone number on your Feeld account, we’ll ask you to provide this.
Note: This must be done with a phone on a mobile network. VoIP numbers (e.g., Google Voice) can’t be used for age verification.
Live selfie verification
With this option, you’ll take a live selfie with your device. The selfie is then analyzed in real time by our age verification partner using a facial analysis algorithm to determine your approximate age. Be sure to remove your hat and sunglasses (regular glasses can stay on) and take your selfie in a well-lit area.
