‘Like’ a Message in a Chat

Want to positively acknowledge a message in a chat but can't find the right words? React to individual messages, images, or short videos with a heart icon to indicate that you like it. This article shows you how.

Good to Know

• You’ll see an orange heart icon on messages you’ve liked.
  
  
• You’ll see grey heart icons on messages others in the chat have liked.
  
  
• Only heart reactions are available at this time.
  
  
• You can’t see who liked your messages in group chats.

Like a Message

In any chat:

• Double-tap the message, image, or video to like it.
  
  
  Or
  
  
• Tap and hold the message, image, or video you want to like, then tap the heart icon on the now highlighted message.
  

You can remove a like using the same steps.
