How do I reply to a specific message?

If you want to respond to a specific message, you can now quote it in your reply

Quote-reply to individual text messages, images or videos to provide context and prevent misunderstandings — especially in long conversations, or in conversations with many participants.

How to reply a message

1. Tap and hold the message you want to quote.

2. You will see a pop-up menu. Tap Reply.

3. You will see a preview of the message you're replying to right above the text box where you can type your reply. Type your reply and send the message as you'd usually do.

4. Your message will quote the message you're replying to.

Note that if the message you're quoting is deleted, a note saying ‘This message was deleted' will be shown instead.
