Pings let you immediately notify someone that you’re very interested and send a personal note. This increases your chances of making that Connection.
As with a Like, A Pinged Member can choose to Like or Dislike the profile that Pinged them. If they Like the profile, a Connection is made and a chat will open.
Important:
- For your safety, you can opt out of receiving Ping notes if you’d like.
- If you receive an inappropriate note, you can report the Member who sent it.
Good to Know
-
Majestic Members get one included Ping per 24 hour period. These don’t rollover.
-
Free Members can purchase Pings.
- The Ping icon shown on profiles indicates how many Pings you have left.
- If you’ve already Liked a profile, there’s no way to go back and Ping them after.
Send a Ping
- On a profile you want to Ping, tap the Ping button.
- Optionally, tap the note field to add a personal note. Tap Done in the text field when you finish writing.
Note: If you don’t see the option to leave a note, the Member has opted out of receiving Ping notes. The other features of the Ping can still be used.
- Tap Send Ping.
The Member you Pinged will receive a notification (if they have device notifications enabled), and your profile will appear at the top of their Pings tab in their ‘Likes/Who Likes Me’.
If the person accepts your Ping, a Connection is made and a chat will open. You'll be able to chat with this new Connection the same way you would with any other.
Receiving a Ping
If you receive a Ping, you’ll be notified in-app and with a device notification (if those are enabled). It’ll also appear in the Pings tab in ‘Likes/Who Likes You’ with the personal note if one was added.
Note: You can opt out of receiving Ping notes if you’d like.
You can scroll through profiles that have Pinged you, sort them, and tap profiles to view their details.
As with a Like, you can choose to connect with that Member (check mark button) or not (dash button). If you connect, the chat will open, with any included note, so you can start chatting.
